Honeysuckle and Shades of Gray

Every year Pantone announces the next big color for the upcoming year.  This year's is Honeysuckle ~ a soothing and playful, yet sexy pink color.  I think this pairs well with different shades of gray and blue-grays.  Let's take a moment and enjoy some color therapy...

Proposal Planning

Did you know that your significant other can actually hire someone to design and plan your entire marriage propsal?  I KNOW!  I heard about Brilliant Event Planning, a company based in New York, from seeing them on Good Morning America.  To my surprise, I found a lot of event planners across the country that specialize in proposals, but BEP in New York seems to be one of the best out there.  They even offer an a la carte menu in case you need help with only part of it.  What I thought was super unique is a fun tool called the Proposal Idea Generator - so cool!  It's a mini quiz that gives you a very specific proposal idea based on your answers.

This is such a sweet and personalized wedding proposal! Him and the guys painted this mural on the side of a building in New York City this past June.  Those are Scrabble pieces ~ so cute. Watch the video and see how he did it and how she reacts.

Greatest Marriage Proposal EVER!!! ~ that's the name of the below proposal video.  I was giggling out load while watching this (ok...maybe tearing up a bit too).  Another creative proposal.

And So It Begins

It makes me smile every time when I say that next April I will marry my best friend! He cleverly proposed in December 2010 by attaching the ring to a Christmas ornament. We had been together for 5 years by that time so you can imagine that the engagement proposal was long awaited! We'll be married on April 14, 2012 in Green Bay, WI where we live.

Like most other brides-to-be I am excited to plan our perfect wedding day and see it all come to fruition. Of course, this has caused me to become obsessed with surfing the internet for ideas! There's so much out there and I love it all but I know I need to edit my choices (it's not like I have the budget for all these things anyway!). That's when I knew that I needed to start this blog...as my wedding therapy...really! I figure that if I can't have it for my wedding then at least I can collect it and admire it all in one place.

I finally can answer the question "What do you collect?" -Answer: peonies, pretty paper and other wedding ideas.
